This premium CVS stretch is manufactured By Flexhaust Systems and features a 4 to 1 stretch ratio. The new premium hose is similar to previous stretch hoses in design, but was built to overcome some deficiencies of the standard hose. Standard stretch hoses are often too hard to stretch, making the hose hard to work with and quick to recover it's coiled shape. Some other stretch hoses were too loose and would not hold their shape or compact size. A loose stretch hose would constantly "spill", is hard to work with and is hard to keep on a hose hanger. The new premium stretch hose gives you balance. Excellent stretch capability, just the right tension when cleaning and quick recovery to the storage position without being sticky.

Another common complaint of standard stretch hoses is the extra noise often generated while cleaning. The regular stretch hoses seem to whistle in most positions which can become irritating to some when cleaning for any length of time. With the hose stretched while cleaning older designs would sound like a harmonica was being played while you vacuum. Thanks to the new formulation of the premium stretch hose: No More Whistle! Standard stretch hoses are a PVC cover over a spring steel coil of wire. The new premium stretch is a blended formulation (likely pvc/vinyl with silicone, but the manufacturer won't say) that is soft but tough and smooth but not sticky. Support and recovery are provided by a black vinyl coated spring steel wire helix. The new formulation is also a translucent matte grey color which allows visible inspection of the hose interior.

The premium stretch hose features a standard 1.5" CVS hose cuff with metal band to activate the central vacuum power unit when inserted into the wall valve. The banded cuff fits all standard universal and direct connect central vacuum inlets. The tool end of the stretch hose gives you a full 360° swivel grip. The swivel prevents kinks in the hose while you clean and a thumb operated air-relief valve lets you decrease suction for easy expansion with airflow restrictive tools such as crevice nozzles and turbo tools. The tool end is a standard friction fitting 1.25" diameter which fits most all cleaning tools and wands.
