This 16 inch class floor brush comes from our commercial backpack vacuums used for office, warehouse and industrial cleaning applications. It is an expansive 398MM in width, more than 30% wider than standard floor nozzles used on most residential vacuum systems but has a standard 1.25" connection to fit regular central vacuums and portable vacuums with a friction fit. This extra wide nozzle covers more floor space in each pass, has a full 360° swivel connector, easy clean removable brush shoe and is built to take a heavy workout.
Molded in durable polyphenylene resin the 16" floor nozzle is a true commercial vacuum tool. The same rugged floor brush we have sold for years to commercial cleaning services and janitors is now available for home use with a standard 1.25" wand connection. The floor nozzle housing is both strong and flexible to give when needed and not break. The soft outer texture will not mar walls or furniture and the two out-board wheels support the wide nozzle to prevent the bristle sets from becoming bent and damaged from forward pressure on the floor. This unique floor nozzle features a removable shoe (base plate) which facilitates easy maintenance & cleaning. The two yellow color "end caps" slide open and release the bottom shoe which contains the two brush strips.
The brush strips are made from durable nylon which is cut and polished for use in floor cleaning. The brush features a long castle cut bristle design which has airflow openings in the brush face to allow debris and suction into the brush opening instead of bulldozing it in front of the nozzle. This floor nozzles extra wide intake opening works very well with the high airflow performance of central vacuum systems. Capable of ingesting much more debris than standard floor nozzles, the commercial floor nozzle works great on all hard floor surfaces cleaning everything from wood to tile or finished cement.
The removable brush shoe makes cleaning the nozzle simple. Large objects inadvertently sucked into the floor nozzle are easy to reach. The removable shoe also allows you to swap each bristle strip for extended wear of the brushes. If you wear the front bristle strip quicker or if the rear bristle strip becomes bent or deformed you just slide the steel rod crimped bristle sets out and turn them around or swap their positions.
The widepath commercial floor brush can clean any hard floor surface, but may not be useful for every space. The extra large width could be problematic in tight spaces like bathrooms or around furniture like the kitchen table and chairs where a smaller nozzle would be more efficient.
