The Pass Partú Interceptor is an ingenious separator system that works with any central vacuum and most portable & backpack vacuums as well. Adding the separator effectively converts your dry pick up vacuum into an efficient wet & dry vac for collection of all types of debris that is not normally permitted in standard vacuum systems. Ideal for separating and collecting ultra fine particulate including cold fireplace ash, soot, cat litter, sawdust and sheet rock that would damage regular vacuum cleaners or their filters. The Pass Partú Interceptor is also an excellent collection system for wet or moist debris including liquid spills, moist soils or any other non-flammable liquid. Instead of a separate vacuum and motor for wet/dry cleaning you can use your existing vacuum to clean fine particles and wet debris. Pass Partú is a handy addition to any workshop too!

You use the Pass Partú Interceptor by plugging in your vacuums hose for suction, then connecting the Interceptors hose for cleaning. Pass Partú works by using a washable polyester media filter in the collection canister to separate and clean the air of debris and liquids before allowing the air to flow into your vacuum. Pass Partú can be used with any vacuum system that has a 1" - 1.5" hose end or wand end (most vacuums have a 1.25" end). A thick foam-rubber gasket is mounted in the top center of the lid and your vacuum hose is inserted into the gasket which holds it in place and seals the vacuum system. A high quality 6 foot long strip hose is connected to the hose lock, also mounted in the lid. The hose swivels a full 360° in the connection and also features a full swivel tool end 36mm cuff.

Applications for the Pass Partú Interceptor are nearly unlimited, but two very popular uses include the safe removal of cold fireplace or pellet stove ash, and the ability to suction loose clogged drains. Pellet stove and fireplace ashes, drywall dust, concrete dust and other ultra fine particulate should never be cleaned with a regular vacuum. Those of you who may have tried know that most vacuum filters will not capture these fine particles and only end up spreading them all over the house. Vacuums fitted with normal HEPA filters only works a few seconds before the expensive filter is clogged and requires replacement. In vacuum systems with thru-flo motors, cleaning ultra fine particles without proper filtration can lead to motor damage. Pass Partú cleans the vacuumed air before it reaches your vacuum, protecting your vacuums filter and motor. Pass Partú's separation chamber is also equipped with a shut-off float that allows the cleaning of moist debris and liquids. This allows you to use your vacuum cleaner to suction out clogs in a kitchen sink or any other drain. No need for chemicals or plungers, Pass Partú pulls the clog out of the tube system instead of pushing it farther down.

Pass Partú's filter is a pleated synthetic (polyester) spun-bound cartridge. Sealed on the bottom with a soft EPDM gasket for it's top, the polyester cartridge attaches over the intake float system and can be easily removed. The filter can be washed with mild detergent and water and reused over and over again. Along with the collection bin, separator, polyester filter and 6ft hose a 12" rigid wand extension is included to reach into stoves and down a drain. The hose and wand use European format 36mm connection. If interoperability is needed with standard 32mm attachments the hose cuff could easily be changed. You could even use the Interceptor with a long hose CVS car or garage attachment kit for an extended reach. With the removable hose connectors almost any combination of hose and tool configuration is possible.

Pass Partú, or any standard vacuum system, should never be used to vacuum hot or glowing ashes or debris, flammable or explosive dust including printer toner or flammable liquids.
